Hello my deadly darlings! I hope you are all on the path to better tomorrows. The journey is arduous so it’s best to go slow. Baby steps. Well, anyway, this has been a big year for me. I’ve been to cities all across the country and I have to say, some are better than others. But two really stood out for me this year. New Orleans, which sandwiched our year of travel with two different trips, and Portland which has become an unintended home away from home because people I care about keep moving there. I’m ready to buy a barge and settle in for summers, folks, but desert rat, I shall always remain. I’m not here to talk about either of those places in this episode, however, we are recording there today. We have a very special guest with us today about a very important topic: inclusive deathcare and grief support. Let’s just get right into it today. Right after this quick message… (INTERVIEW) Thank you so much, Elena. I feel this is a very important conversation, not just for me, or listeners, but for people in the funeral industry. Inclusive deathcare is needed, and what that means is changing. We can only be better by being better informed. I hope Elena will come back on the show again in the future so we can pick her brain a bit more. Until then, I hope your cocoa comes with marshmallows, your nights full of slumber, and your days free of grief. If not, just keep doing the best you can and I’ll do the same.
